OUR STORY

New Come and See Missionary Baptist Church began in 1898 in the Ingleside Community of Port Gibson, Mississippi. The church began with a mind to make an impact on the community. The church began to experience growth under several pastors; however, the most notable was Pastor Eddie Walls, Jr. During Rev. Eddie Walls, Jr.'s tenure, a new edifice was built. He served faithfully as the pastor for 38 years; and, during a Sunday morning worship Service in January of 2015, He stepped down because of failing health and turned the church over to the assistant pastor, Rev. Eric L. Cooley. Rev. Eric Cooley was the Assistant Pastor since 2012. After much prayer and counsel, Pastor Cooley accepted the pastorate of New Come and See and was officially installed as the Senior Pastor on April 15, 2015 by Bishop Kenneth Fuller, Sr. of Atlanta, Georgia. Under Pastor Cooley's leadership, the church has experienced continued tremendous growth and has added an additional worship service as well as many other outreaches. His vision for the New Come and See Church is to be a life giving ministry where the needs of the total man is met. Also, his desire is to raise up an army that will impact the community and bring about transformation in the lives of the believers in the Claiborne, Warren, and Jefferson Counties.
